The Korean Chefs Association of America is a gathering of Korean and non-Korean chefs to properly introduce Korean food culture and Korean food itself to the American audience. The KCCA was established in 2012 and is based in NYC.

 

Some of our featured members are Youngsun Lee, a chef-instructor at I.C.E (Institute of Culinary Education) and executive chef of The Queens Kickshaw which was voted 2013 Best New York Vegetarian Restaurant by the Village Voice.

Present, Mercer Kitchen at Jean Georges Group.

 

Sungchul Shim was a former chef of Per Se, Present, Head Chef at Nata Japanese cuisine.

Deuki Hong, main chef representing Korea at the 2013 NYC Wine and Food Festival. Also, he was a head chef in Bak Jeong BBQ and an author of best seller 'Korea Town'

Ryan Lee is a Head chef of Barn Joo who served of U.N Korean Event as a master chef. Now, he owned Taste 1080

David Lee is a head chef of modern korean Cuisine, Goggan and Executive chef in SFOOD HQ in Korea.

Yuram Nam is a head chef in Jong Ro BBQ and former executive chef in Mixed.

Sechul Yang is a chef in Gramercy park Hotel Malalino.

Byung Sek Lee is a executive chef in Nata Japanese Restaurant.

Along with the featured members there are about 150 members who are either currently attending top culinary schools, working in top kitchens, and who are already accomplished culinary professionals.

 

Professionals such as John Nihoff, former instructor at the Culinary Institute of America,

Michael Kwak, professor at Boston University School of Hospitality.

Jin Bae Park, professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Iris Moon is a independent producer and curator and cooperative as a public relation in KCAA.

Yosef Chai, a professional media editor and former a technical director at Fox Channel

 

With a firm foundation of culinary professionals, we plan on expanding our already diverse membership to further establish a unique network, through restaurant consulting, Korean food events, menu development, and eventually discover skillful star chefs who can ultimately put Korean food on the platform it deserves.
